Renting Conditions

• The rental of pedelecs/bicycles is permitted to persons aged 16 years and older. Younger renters must be represented by a legal guardian.
• The rental fee rates are available at the rental office ans on the Website www.bicycle.at.
• The hirer is responsible for any damage that goes beyond normal grade.
• Any defects that occur during the hiring period must be reported to the owner immediately.
• In the event of malfunction of air defekt, the renter is responsible for repairing the damage. He is also responsible to arrange for return transport at his own charge.
• The pedelec/bicycle must be returned in a clean condition. Please make sure you don’t use a pressure washer, as this could damage the electronic parts of the bike.
• If the agreed rental period is exceeded without authorisation, the renter will charge a contractual penalty of 10 euros per each further day . After 7 days of exceeding the rental period, an advertisement will be filed.
• The hirer is entitled to use the pedelec/bicycle within the territory of the Republic of Austria in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Road Traffic Regulations.
• The renter is obliged to check the roadworthiness and functionality of the pedelec/bicycle, including accessories, before the start of the ride. In particular, the renter is obliged to ensure that they are fully aware of how the pedelec/bicycle functions and to thoroughly test the brakes before setting off. At nightfall or in less visibility, the renter must check the lights, means switch them on.
• The rental company accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by the use of the rented object..
• The person who rented the bike is not permitted to borrow the rental object to anyone. Furthermore, it is not permitted to take the rental object outside the borders of the Republic of Austria. Any modifications on the rental object are forbidden.
• Special arrangements may be arranged and agreed locally in writing.
• No verbal side agreements have been made. This agreement must be made in writing. Austrian law shall apply in all cases, with the exception of referral rules relating to foreign law. The place of jurisdiction is Graz, insofar as this permissible.
